Art-Sea Field St Event
1st July, 2014, By La Fleur
On Sunday 22, June the City South Association hosted an Art-Sea Field Day in Field St, Adelaide City.
Field Street is a popular thoroughfare linking Chinatown and the south-west precinct. It is ‘home’ to Angelakis fish processing operations, oyster sales, an Asian grocery, cafes and restaurants, accountants, architects, a travel agent, consultants and lawyers.
Lots of people came along to try stencil or chalk art and watch Adelaide artists Chad Spencer, David Brimer, Donovan Christie, Fletch, Fredsticks, Joshua Smith, OGS, Ryan P, SG1 and Stitchfase transform the road surface with their designs.
Our in-house artist Tarns was contacted on the day to join in on the fun and created a funky little peice with an underwater vibe.
Check out some of the snaps we got during the event..

THIS WEEK AT COLD KRUSH..
COLD KRUSH AEROSOL WORKSHOPS
This week at Cold Krush Store/Gallery we facilitated an aerosol workshop at the back of the store. The back wall recently painted by Fleur OFK, Tarns RCF NA MS from Adelaide, South Australia, and Pike TCF from Los Angeles created an inspiring backdrop for the particpants as they painted away freely and creatively for a solid three hour block. The young and old joined us for the workshop where they learnt all about can cantrol, and the different caps used.
With so many brands and different caps on the market it can be quite daunting to a new comer to this art from, so we provided an introduction to all the aeorsol paint we stock at Cold Krush and the different caps you can use for the different cans. We personally love the Montana level caps, Grey hoods and the classic NY Fat cap, our particpants found them easy to use and manouvre also.
The total cost is $140 per person, this includes all materials, and the use of quality aerosol paint along with a 1m x 1m quality artist canvas of your work from the day to take home.
If your interested in taking part in our next workshop, mark your calanders for the winter school break as we will likely be putting on another workshop then, or register your interest by contacting us to ensure you kept up to date with any news for our next Aerosol Workshops.
A big thanks to all the particpants from our latest workshop, you're all so talented, we hope that you persue your artistic endeavours and hope to see you at another one of our workshops!!... Enjoy your Easter Break everybody!!...
